Android 8.0 Lenovo

Lenovo phones that will receive Android Oreo 8.x

Lenovo smartphones are very popular in our country, they filled the market with their budget and medium devices. This is made possible by the fact that they provide a satisfactory price-performance ratio, and the manufacturer does not save on sensors or other things that are so necessary in a modern phone.

Under its wing, Lenovo also has a brand such as Motorola that produces more advanced devices. We know that Motorola is going to update many of its smartphones to the latest version of Android. But Lenovo does not appear to be interested in new updates. The latest update has many new features that many would like to see on their phone.

Features of Android 8.0 Oreo

  • Picture in picture;
  • Clever text selection;
  • New emoji;
  • Project Treble;
  • Protection from the “bootlop”;
  • New settings menu;
  • Notifications on icons;
  • Improved security.

This company has never been in a hurry to update its devices. But we hope that this will change soon, since Lenovo decided to switch to pure Android. This means that we will no longer see its famous Vibe user interface. It is possible that with a clean system, Lenovo smartphones will be updated much faster, but this only applies to new models.

Android 8 for Lenovo

Please note that Lenovo has completely abandoned the Phab phone series, including the Project Tango phone and their flagship Vibe X3. These smartphones will not be upgraded to Android Oreo. Vibe K5 Note is included in the list of phones that will probably receive the update, as it is still selling well and in huge quantities, but it seems that the company will disappoint its users.

Lenovo is not going to update a huge number of its devices, while the recently released smartphones Lenovo K8 will surely receive an update. The Lenovo K8 series will receive an official update of Android Oreo in July 2018.

Lenovo smartphones that will receive Android Oreo:

  • Lenovo K8 Note
  • Lenovo K8 Plus
  • Lenovo K8.

Lenovo devices that do not receive an update to Android Oreo:

  • Lenovo K5 Note
  • Lenovo P2 (possibly)
  • Lenovo K6 Note (possibly)
  • Lenovo K6 Power (possibly)
  • Lenovo Zuk Z2
  • Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus
  • Lenovo K5 Note (possibly)
  • Lenovo K4 Note
  • Lenovo K3 Note
  • Lenovo Vibe K5

And in the end it’s worth adding that the Zuk subsidiary, which belongs to Lenovo, should close; Zuk phones will not receive the latest update. If you have any questions, ask them in the comments.
