Rumors about Nokia 9 have been going a very long time, and all this time we are looking forward to its premiere. This year, we will not see it, the most likely date for the debut is the exhibition MWC 2018 in Barcelona. I think that HMD Global will surprise us and show this model at CES 2018 in Las Vegas or during a break between two events, at a specially convened press conference. Despite this, we already know a lot about this smartphone.
The information you read here is not rumored, since the data is taken from the database of the US Federal Communications Commission (abbreviated to FCC), so that they are reliable. Because of this, we can now already conclude that Nokia 9 will be a very interesting device, and it will be almost the highest shelf.
“Almost”, since the smartphone will be equipped with an 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with an Adreno 540 graphics chip. In 2017 this is the top unit, but in the near future this title will be taken away from it by Snapdragon 845 with Adreno 630 graphics. In 2018 Nokia 9 will be considered the flagship with the outdated SoC. It does not really matter, but still.
For the rest of the specification, we no longer have any reason to complain. Nokia 9 will also offer an OLED display with a 5.5 inch diagonal and a 16: 9 aspect ratio, 128 GB of internal memory and a 3250 mAh battery, of course, with support for fast charging technology. The smartphone will run Android 8.0 operating system Oreo.
I deliberately did not mention the cameras, because this issue deserves a separate paragraph. The following table shows that Nokia 9 will be equipped with a dual module (rear), in which one lens will have a resolution of 13 Mp, and the second 12 Mp. For comparison, Nokia 8 has a duo, which consists of two lenses of 13 Mp, one of them RGM, and the second is a monochrome one. This information seems to confirm recent reports that the new flagship will offer a wide-angle lens and telephoto lens.
If we are talking about the front camera, then in this case HMD Global is more conservative, there will be a camera with a resolution of 5 megapixels, that is, obviously weaker than Nokia 8. The eight have a camera with a resolution of 13 megapixels.
The emergence of Nokia 9 in the FCC testifies that the premiere of the smartphone will take place very soon. Watch our news and you will definitely learn a lot more about the new flagship even before the release.
