Controller Phison E8 on board. The company MyDigitalSSD has announced the launch of a new series of SSD M. 2 media under the name SBX. New devices, according to the manufacturer, differ as best as possible price-performance ratio.
The SBX media uses Phison PS5008-E8 controllers and Toshiba’s TLC 3D NAND system. They can provide the maximum data reading speed (sequentially) at 1.6 GB / s and a write speed of 1.3 GB / sec. Series SBX consists of four models with a capacity of 128, 256 and 512 GB, as well as 1 TB. All media are in the format 2280 and provide support for NVMe.
Each of the new carriers is covered by a five-year warranty, and the manufacturer claims that their service life is 800 TB of record. The Phison PS5008-E8 controller, in addition to solutions from the data protection area, also supports the power-saving functions of APST, ASPM and L1.2, and communicates with the computer through the PCI Express 3.0 interface x4 or x2.
The SBX media with a capacity of 128 GB costs 59.23 dollars, 256-gigabyte – 93.82 dollars, and 512-gigabyte – 173.30 dollars. The price of a 1 TB model is not yet known.
