Almost all new middle peasants of Huawei and Honor are identical in terms of specification. I do not hide that it disappoints me, it seems that the manufacturer works on the quantity, although, of course, there are no complaints about the quality. It breathes a terrible boredom. Another smartphone appeared on the market, it’s the Huawei Y9 2018, but it did not bring us anything new.
The device is equipped with an IPS LCD display with a diagonal of 5.93 inches, an aspect ratio of 18: 9 (2: 1) and a resolution of Full HD +, that is 2160 × 1080 pixels (density – 407 ppi). The heart of this model is the 8-core (4x ARM Cortex-A53 2.36 GHz + 4x ARM Cortex-A53 1.7 GHz, 16 nm) HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor with a graphics chip Mali-T830 MP2. It comes bundled with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory with the ability to expand with a microSD memory card with a maximum capacity of 256 GB. A little earlier, TENAA reported that the market will also have a version with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of memory for user data.
On the back of the Huawei Y9 2018 you will find a dual camera with such lenses: 13 Mp + 2 Mp, in front there is also a dual camera – 16 Mp + 2 Mp. The objective of the additional lens in both cameras is to collect depth data, which will allow you to get the bokeh effect, that is, blur the background. The smartphone, of course, also has a fingerprint scanner and a dual SIM card slot. The device is running the Android 8.0 operating system Oreo with the EMUI 8.0 interface and draws energy from a 4000 mAh battery. The thickness of the phone is 7.9 mm, and it weighs 170 grams.
It’s hard to say that the Huawei Y9 2018 is somewhat different from other middle-aged Huawei and Honor. Despite all this, the smartphone is quite good, many will be interested in it. Its huge advantage can be a 4000 mAh battery. In terms of specifications, it is very similar to the Huawei Mate 10 Lite and Honor 7X, which have a 3340 mAh battery.
At this time, the price of Huawei Y9 2018 is not known.
