Huawei has just introduced two new fitness bracelets – Huawei Band 2 and Huawei Band 2 Pro.
Fitness bracelets are devices that often have to compromise. Their compact size requires a small battery, which, in turn, forcibly limits functionality. However, there are many models on the market that, besides counting the steps, offer much more. The new products of Huaweia are a good example.
Bracelets Huawei Band 2 and Huawei Band 2 Pro have silicone strips and a slightly curved, oblong display. Both devices use a silicone strap that indicates the typically sporty nature of the equipment. Both bracelets, of course, are water resistant even at a pressure of 5 atmospheres.
Both versions of bracelets consider steps, track sleep and display notifications and basic information on the screen. Importantly, both bracelets also have a built-in heart rate monitor, which continuously monitors the heart’s work of the user.
Version Pro has received some very interesting solutions.
Huawei Band 2 Pro is a more expensive version of the Huawei Band 2. In addition to the standard features, it also has a GPS module that allows you to play sports and not carry a heavy smartphone. Those who like to run across new territories, of course, know what is at stake, and how useful GPS can be in your small device.
The bracelet also shows the maximum level of oxygenation of the blood and on this basis offers time that we need to rest before the next exercise. All thanks to the technology Firstbeat, which studies the style of running the user and adjusts the training for him. This is a scientific and professional running algorithm. In the main degree this is a marketing move, but it’s good to know that Huawei has focused on something more than measuring the steps.
Fitness bracelet Bend 2 Pro also tracks sleep. The manufacturer boasts that its technology TruSleep is recognized at the medical faculty of Harvard University – Harvard Medical School.
Not enough important information …
The new Huaweia dressings look really interesting. I mean the Pro model, which was equipped with a GPS module and several more advanced technologies.
The time of autonomous work remains to be questioned, which the manufacturer did not cover. Fitness bracelets have always had a great advantage over the clock, worked on one charge even for several weeks. In this case, a new screen, heart rate monitor and GPS module, can lead to the fact that this advantage will become obsolete. I do not think that the bracelet from Huawei will work longer than 2 days. It’s a pity.
The price of the device is also unknown. Let’s hope that the novelties of the Chinese concern will be judged reasonably and will become competitive with respect to the offers of the largest player in this industry – Fitbit.
