The latest version of Android from Google, that is, the update of Android Oreo, will soon appear on all current as well as future HTC flagships. Previously, this manufacturer provided updates rather quickly, but now it has slowed down a bit.
HTC does not have many devices to upgrade, and smartphones such as HTC U Ultra, HTC U Play and HTC U11, will soon receive a new version of Android with a small addition in the form of HTC Sense overlays.
On its Twitter account, HTC confirmed that its latest devices will receive the latest update to Android Oreo.
Features of Android 8.0 Oreo
- Picture in picture;
- Clever text selection;
- New emoji;
- Project Treble;
- Protection from the “bootlop”;
- New settings menu;
- Notifications on icons;
- Improved security.
So, what can delay the update? This is their new compression function, which performs various actions set by the user with the simple tightening of the case. It is this feature that can delay the update of smartphones that have been equipped with this special frame.
HTC phones that will receive an update to Android Oreo:
- HTC U11 (confirmed)
- HTC U Ultra (confirmed)
- HTC 10 (confirmed)
- HTC m9 Plus (possibly)
- HTC U Play (possible)
- HTC Desire 10 Pro (possibly)
- HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle (possibly)
- HTC 10 Evo (possibly)
- HTC 10 (possibly).
HTC also said that the list of updates should also include other devices, a list of which it will publish a little later. Perhaps your phone will still receive an update if it is not listed above. Devices that were released before 2016 will not be included in the update list of HTC Oreo. If you have any questions, then ask them in the comments, and we, if possible, will try to answer them.
