If Google Pixel and HTC U11 had a child, it would be HTC U11 Life with Android One, which was first introduced today by Taiwanese manufacturer. The second we saw HTC U11 Plus, which will be available in a translucent package to show consumers the beauty of technology. I already held both smartphones in my hands, and also know their prices. What pleases me most? Improved compression!
For the first time I will not start with the technical characteristics of both smartphones. Since the changes in the Edge Sense function are more important here, it will finally make sense. Until now, the functionality of this solution was very poor, it was difficult to call this function exciting, and few people appreciated it. But the company decided to show that this is really a useful feature, but it was simply not developed.
HTC tried to make it as useful as possible. Finally, it can be used in all applications that we download from Google Play. In all. This means that we ourselves choose how we will use short and long compression – meaningless restrictions will go to nonexistence. Do you want to shortly go to a new text message? You are welcome. Or maybe you want to open a new e-mail with a long squeeze? Also there are no problems.
And if this function really works the way HTC promises, I might even buy this smartphone. Yes, according to the specifications, it is not the best, but despite everything, HTC smartphones differ from smartphones from competitors. And it is worth noting that the compression function is also offered by U11 Life and U11 Plus.
And once we started talking about these models, first of all it’s worth noting that they do not have a standard headphone jack – 3.5 mm (Jack).
HTC U11 Plus – a translucent case and the first HTC with a screen 18: 9.
Initially you might think that HTC U11 Plus has a glass case with an unusual pattern. But in fact, this case is semi-transparent and due to this it should stand out against the competition, and also show what the smartphone hides inside. True, there you can see only a little, but the U11 Plus model looks interesting and intriguing at the same time.
It should be borne in mind that the U11 Plus is the first smartphone in the range of HTC, which is equipped with a screen with proportions of 18: 9 and very narrow frames. A powerful 6-inch matrix Super LCD 6 with a diagonal of 6 inches and a resolution of 2880 × 1440 pixels. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The large screen is in a housing that conforms to the IP68 stability standard. The dimensions of the smartphone look like this: 158.5 x 74.9 x 8.5 mm, and weight – 188 grams. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back of the case.
What’s interesting inside? First of all, the 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory with the ability to expand with the help of microSD. In addition, there is a camera with a resolution of 13 Mp UltraPixel, f / 1.7 with OIS, slow motion (120 frames) and recording video from 3D audio, thanks to four microphones. In front you will find a camera at 8 megapixel (f / 2.0), a viewing angle of 85 degrees.
If we are talking about audio, then the manufacturer again used Boomsound speakers. HTC assures that more space has appeared under the case for acoustic channels, thanks to this, the sound quality and loudness have improved – up to 30% in relation to HTC U11.
The battery has a capacity of 3930 mAh and supports quick charging function QuickCharge 3.0. This model also received the following network modules: USB type C 3.1, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, LTE, dual SIM and two wi-fi display zones (802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, 2.4 and 5 GHz) . Everything is running Android version 8.0 Oreo.
HTC U11 Life is a smaller brother with Android One.
And if someone prefers small smartphones, then HTC has prepared a model for such people. As a bonus, also with pure Android, because HTC U11 Life is a smartphone that was created as part of the Android One program.
