GPD Win 2 is something like a laptop, a smartphone and … a console for games. This is exactly what you need for less demanding games.
GPD Technology Company presented the second version of its GPD Win console. The new device will work as a miniature computer for the game, and its performance will provide a comfortable gameplay in less demanding games. Let’s take a closer look at this design!
GPD Win 2 is something like a small laptop, smartphone and … console for games. The manufacturer used here a 6-inch H-IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, as well as a miniature QWERTY keyboard.
The body also has buttons known from game consoles: analogs, a cross and buttons, and there are also analog triggers behind. The thickness of the device is 25 mm, and it weighs 490 grams.
The manufacturer also brought out the main connectors: audio, USB 3.0 and USB 3.0 type C, as well as micro-HDMI. There is also a device for reading micro SD cards. For wireless communication is responsible for Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac and Bluetooth 4.2.
All this works thanks to the 2-core / 4-stream Intel Core m3 7Y30 with Intel HD Graphics 615 graphics. In addition, it received 8 GB of RAM LPDDR3-1866 and SSD M. 2 with 128 GB capacity. To cool the structure, a miniature fan is used, whose rotation speed reaches 10,000 rpm.
The new version of GPD Win offers a faster processor, graphics and storage media. In addition, it also uses the best device for reading micro SD memory cards.
How will all this show itself in games? In the most popular MMO games we can count on a stable 60 fps, but it will also pull such hits as: GTA V or TES V: Skyrim.
