Almost every manufacturer has in its assortment a smartphone with a screen with an aspect ratio of 18: 9. The exception was the company Asus. Was, but is not, as the company has just announced its first offer with such a display – the Asus Pegasus 4S.
The screen in this smartphone has a diagonal of 5.7 inches, an aspect ratio of 18: 9 (2: 1) and HD + resolution, that is 1440 × 720 pixels, and their density is 282 ppi. The heart of the device is the eight core processor MediaTek MT6750T 1.5 GHz (8x ARM Cortex-A53, 28-nm) with a graphics chip Mali-T860 MP2. Depending on the version, the user will have at his disposal 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB of internal memory, of course, it can be expanded with a microSD memory card.
On the back of the case Asus Pegasus 4S is a dual camera, the main lens which has a resolution of 16 megapixels, and an additional – 8 megapixels. We do not yet know what kind of configuration it is, but it is possible that the manufacturer used the same solution as in ZenFone 4, that is, one lens with a standard viewing angle, and a second wide angle. On the front, you will find a camera with a resolution of 8 megapixels.
This smartphone also has a fingerprint recognition device – it’s on the back. Asus Pegasus 4S runs under the operating system Android 7.0 Nougats with the interface Zen UI 4.0. This device receives energy from a battery with a capacity of 4030 mAh. The case of the device is mostly metal. It has the following dimensions: 152.6 × 72.7 × 8.8 mm and weighs 160 grams.
In China, the Asus Pegasus 4S will be available in black and gold. The manufacturer has not yet indicated the recommended retail price of this model. The smartphone is unlikely to appear on the European market.
