Flagship Soul series from Allview has never been very popular, but the manufacturer continues to produce new smartphones, and they are really very interesting. Top-notch devices of this company really do not have anything to be ashamed of, which is what Allview X4 Extreme wants even more.
X4 Extreme has a 6 inch screen – it’s a lot, especially since there’s still a bit of space above and below the screen that you could use somehow. The manufacturer decided that the fingerprint scanner would be in front – thanks to this the device design received a certain symmetry and fullness of the front panel.
The display works in Full HD resolution, it’s OK, even taking into account the big screen diagonal, although it’s a pity that it’s not the AMOLED panel – here it’s just a good IPS screen with high brightness and a viewing angle of 178 °, covered with 2.5 D glass with scratch protection . The case itself is made of magnesium alloy.
What will we find inside? Incidentally, here is the MediaTek Helio P25 (2.5 GHz) processor, 4 GB of RAM (DDR4) and 64 GB of internal memory, expandable with a microSD card (up to 256 GB). The smartphone is equipped with a hybrid dualSIM, so we’ll have to decide what we need – additional memory or a second SIM card. Of course, there is also an LTE modem and a set of other modules and sensors, including a diode IR port (NFC is not).
Allview X4 Extreme boasts a selection of cameras, from which the front camera is more emphasized. It has a resolution of 20 megapixels, aperture f / 2.0, and still uses PureCel Plus technology, which, according to the manufacturer, allows you to capture 4 times more light than a conventional matrix. Both the front and the double rear camera can make a bokeh effect (background blur). X4 Extreme has two rear lenses with 13 Mp and 5 Mp matrices, both with a f / 2.0 aperture. The 13-megapixel camera uses Sony Exmor RS technology, patented by SONY.
Fans of music files should be happy – the new flagship Allview has stereo speakers and uses the sound processing technology provided by Waves Audio. Unfortunately, in the specification, I did not find the 3.5 mm audio jack connector – if it really is not, many will be disappointed. A lot of promises also a battery with a capacity of 4550 mAh with fast charging via USB C type. The smartphone runs under the Android 7.0 operating system Nougas, although there is still no exact information on this subject.
Despite the fact that it is most likely just renamed Gionee A1 Plus, this smartphone should be looked favorably. For the mentioned Gionee you have to give $ 560, and for the new Allview – $ 450. For a 6-inch smartphone with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory, this is not so much.
